Winemaker Notes

Veris

Light, refreshing and crisp this wine exhibits complex aromatics of lime and citrus. A full mouth feel and supple flavors of orange peel, pineapple, papaya & guava leave the palate wanting more. Done in a slightly more acidic style; than the last two vintages; combined with complex fruit and a touch of sweetness create a clean mouthwatering white. Our favorite pairing is shrimp and grits with diced andouille sausage.

Winemaker Notes

Misceo

The 2009 Russian River Grenache/Syrah also underwent single berry sorting and was punched down by hand during open top barrel fermentation. Initially fermented individually the wines were blended together and began to exhibit aromas of strawberries, cranberry and roasted herbs. This cool climate blend will continue to express itself in its youth and with proper cellaring will develop its lush character and persistent finish. The balancing act between the Grenache and Syrah makes this wine a perfect pair with roasted pork tenderloin with a mild jalapeno creamed corn and roasted vegetables.

2008 "Adamare" Napa Valley Syrah

Production: 100 cases
Composition: 100% Syrah
Appellation: Napa Valley
Vineyard: Kate’s Vineyard, Napa Valley
Aging: Fermented in open top barrels, aged in neutral oak
Alcohol: 15.0% by volume
Release: Summer 2010

Winemaker Notes

Adamare

The 2008 Napa Valley Syrah underwent single berry sorting and was punched down by hand during open top barrel fermentation. While aging in mostly neutral oak barrels the wine developed a perfumed nose with scents of wild herbs, black fruits, roasted meats, and black pepper. We incorporated one 2 year old French oak barrel that provided a subtle touch of caramel and richness to the blend of different syrah clones from this vineyard. The complex flavors of blackberry liqueur, mocha, warm spices and hints of meat unfold on the palate. Having developed its structure and depth the syrah should continue to mature for the next five years. We paired this with lamb sliders with a roasted raspberry chipotle dipping sauce. Delish!

Winemaker Notes

Vision Quest

This is a dense red blend exhibiting round fruit...cherries, blackberries, currants; a beautiful assortment of fresh and dried herbs with aromatics of toast, warm fall spices and dark chocolate. Packed with texture, it fills your mouth with the soft notes of oak, vanilla extracted dark fruits. This pairs perfectly with roasted game or red meat complimented with a berry reduction and root vegetables.
